Another creation/origin painting. My thought for this was about nebulae and how they contain all the materials that make up our planet. Genesis speaks of when God formed the earth. It says that:
the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
I just pictured God's Spirit moving over the formless water contained inside the nebulae and the formless minerals and forcing them together to create the ground. Now, I'm not supposing that God actually created water and the earth this way. I believe He spoke it all into existence instantaneously; this is merely my artistic abstraction. Simply put, I/we have no way of knowing what it looked like when God created everything, nor can we say(outside of what the Bible gives us) exactly how He did it. In doing so, the finite human mind is attempting impossibly to contextualize and understand the Infinite. God is so awesome.
